Tom Muir serves as President of the Welland Soccer Club and brings more than 25 years of involvement with the club to the Board of Directors. He joined the Board with a vision of guiding the club toward an environment where all members feel valued and have meaningful opportunities to grow in the sport. Over the past four years, Tom has helped lead significant program growth while fostering a strong, family-centered community that continues to positively impact youth soccer both locally and beyond. Professionally, Tom is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and is passionate about creating high-quality programming for players of all ages, genders, and abilities. Outside of soccer, he is a dedicated supporter of Rangers FC, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Buffalo Bills.
Anthony Vadacchino serves as Vice President of the Welland Soccer Club and brings a deep passion for both leadership and coaching to the Board of Directors. With many years of involvement in the club, Anthony has coached his children at every level and built countless memorable seasons marked by growth, success, and strong team culture. He currently coaches the oldest boys’ competitive team and helps coach the youngest boys’ competitive team, with a focus on long-term player development and finishing strong with his older group. Professionally, Anthony has a background in sales and account management, and around the field he’s well known for his positive, energetic coaching style—and his well-documented love of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Ahmed Khairy serves as Treasurer of the Welland Soccer Club and is responsible for overseeing the club’s financial management and fiscal stewardship. He joined the Board of Directors with a commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability, and long-term financial sustainability as the club continues to grow. Ahmed works closely with the executive team to manage budgets, monitor financial reporting, and support responsible decision-making that aligns with the club’s strategic goals. With a strong background in finance and analytical oversight, Ahmed plays a key role in maintaining sound financial controls and supporting program planning through accurate forecasting and reporting. His attention to detail and commitment to best practices help ensure that club resources are managed effectively to support high-quality programming and a positive experience for all members.
Mike Frank is the House League Director for the Welland Soccer Club and joined the Board of Directors to help strengthen the club’s structure and create a positive, development-focused environment for youth soccer. During his tenure, he has played a key role in growing the House League program from approximately 300 registrations to consistently averaging over 1,000 per session, while also leading a full program restructure and developing many of the policies and procedures that now form the foundation of the club. Mike is the Chief Technology Officer for Sports Training, Inc. and a full-stack web application developer with over 25 years of experience. A lifelong athlete, his primary sport growing up was baseball, including representing Ontario at the U18 level, and he remains active today through recreational sports and coaching his daughter’s soccer team with Club President Tom Muir.
John Cox serves as the Grassroots Competitive Director for the Welland Soccer Club and brings more than a decade of involvement with the club to the Board of Directors. After witnessing the club’s growth firsthand as a travel coach, John joined the board to help continue that momentum and give back to both the club and the community. He has played an active role in the expansion of the club, including increased House League registrations, the growth of competitive travel teams, and the development of programs such as the Wizards Academy and YICL. John’s primary focus is on grassroots competitive teams (U8–U13), where he is dedicated to supporting coach development and fostering positive player growth at the foundational stages of the game.
Anthony Domanico serves as the Competitive Director (U14+) for the Welland Soccer Club and joined the Board to give back to the Welland Wizards community and help guide the club’s continued growth in a positive direction. With several years of involvement at the club, Anthony is focused on supporting competitive programs for older age groups, ensuring players have strong development pathways and positive experiences as they progress through the club. His commitment to leadership, player development, and community involvement helps strengthen the foundation of the club’s competitive programs at the U14+ level.
Rosh Gill serves as the Development Programs Director for the Welland Soccer Club and plays a key role in shaping and enhancing the club’s technical programming across all age groups. He joined the Board with a strong commitment to building structured, high-quality development pathways that support players at every stage of their soccer journey. Rosh is focused on ensuring that training environments are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with long-term player development principles. With extensive coaching experience and a passion for player growth, Rosh works closely with coaches and technical staff to elevate standards, introduce innovative training concepts, and create consistent development opportunities throughout the club. His leadership supports the continued evolution of programs that prepare players not only for competitive success, but for lifelong enjoyment of the game.
Chinenye Ibekwe serves as the Communications Director for the Welland Soccer Club and joined the Board to contribute to the growth and development of soccer within the club. He is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all children—regardless of skill level—feel welcomed and encouraged to participate. Professionally, Chinenye is an HR Specialist Advisor with expertise in Labour Relations, focusing on promoting positive workplace environments, advising on complex employee relations matters, and ensuring compliance with employment standards. Outside of his professional and volunteer roles, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
Anne Marie Cargnelli serves as the Volunteer Director and is a former Board Secretary for the Welland Soccer Club. She joined the Board to support youth soccer in Welland and give back to the community, bringing a strong continuous improvement mindset focused on enhancing the experience for all members and building a well-supported volunteer base. In 2025, Anne Marie played a key role in strengthening board governance practices, including Conflict of Interest processes, developing the club’s year-end results snapshot, and creating a virtual coach orientation, while also advancing member feedback initiatives to be launched in 2026. Professionally, she brings over 20 years of public service experience leading high-profile transformation and change initiatives, along with prior board experience in healthcare and municipal public libraries. A lifelong soccer fan and former player, referee, and coach, she now finds her greatest joy in watching her daughters play and sharing the game with them.
Donny D’Innocenzo serves as Secretary of the Welland Soccer Club and brings over a decade of involvement with the club to the Board of Directors. After many years connected to the organization, he chose to get involved again to support the club and contribute to its continued success. In his role as Secretary, Donny helps ensure strong organizational practices and effective communication at the board level, supporting the ongoing growth and stability of the Welland Soccer Club.
